Hamish Wilson

Lead Advisor (Strategy, Business Planning; CCUS)

Specialises in Strategy and Business Planning; Business Case Development; Capital Raising; CO2 storage subsurface

Hamish has successfully led capital raises from private equity for renewable energy start ups as well as CO2 Transport and Storage companies. He is passionate about the opportunities presented by low carbon business opportunities

He has led development of successful CCUS projects; developed Solar, Wind & Battery projects and has extensive experience in company strategy formulation with companies such as Baker Hughes, Sumitomo, BG, BP, Dana and Maersk

He started his career at BP upstream, spending 10 years working in the North Sea, Alaska and South East Asia.  

Hamish holds a BSc Geology from Edinburgh and an MBA from IMD (Switzerland)

Sarah Milne

Lead Advisor (Commercial & Non-Technical Risk)

Specialises in Strategy; Complex Value Chain Risk Allocation and Commercial Negotiations; Non-Technical Risk.

Sarah is a leading expert in commercial negotiations and the sustainable allocation of risk along complex value chains. She specialises in understanding and allocating risk fairly between stakeholders who generally have no understanding of each others business models but for whom successful decarbonisation is potentially reliant on interdependent projects.  

With >5 years experience of CCUS commercial negotiations in a range of global policy environments, Sarah brings an outstanding track record of leading and delivering commercial deals across the energy industry for nearly 25yrs. She also brings extensive experience in successfully developing complex projects in highly sensitive communities.

With the first half of her career in a variety of roles at at BP, she has subsequently worked on an independent advisor for a range of clients in Sub-Saharan Africa, L48, EU, Australasia with clients including Total and Tullow. She holds a BSc Hons in Economics & Politics from the University of Bath.

Martin Dru

Risk Expert

Specialising in Portfolio risk management; Business transformation; and Technology & Systems 

Martin brings 20 years of financial risk management skills to the team, secured in energy and agricultural commodity trading sectors.  Previously he gained extensive international experience in a range of major oil company roles from upstream exploration through commercial gas to New Business development.  He has risk-managed green energy portfolios since 2001.  Martin is recognised as a specialist in large scale breakthrough project design and execution, incorporating IT systems and process change.  He holds a BSc Geology from Sheffield  and an MBA from Reading.

Tony Smith

Hydrogen Expert

Specialising in Hydrogen; Natural Gas Commercial & Strategy Planning

Tony is one of the UK’s thought leaders in Hydrogen, having spent some 5 years developing a UK industrial decarbonised cluster based on hydrogen and CO2 & CCUS. 

 He brings some 40 years experience with BP, ExxonMobil and Schlumberger and has global consulting experience in Africa, USA, M.East, Europe.  

Previously he specialised in natural gas commercial.  He is an expert at Infrastructure planning and is an Advisory Board member of the Decarbonised Gas Alliance and a founder of the UK North West Hydrogen Alliance.   He is also a member of the UK Government Hydrogen market advisory group. 

He holds a PhD in oil biotechnology
