Hamish Wilson
Lead Advisor (Strategy, Business Planning & CCUS)
Specialises in Strategy and Business Planning; Business Case Development; Capital Raising; CO2 storage subsurface
Hamish has successfully led capital raises from private equity for renewable energy start ups as well as CO2 Transport and Storage companies. He is passionate about the opportunities presented by low carbon business opportunities
He has led development of successful CCUS projects; developed Solar, Wind & Battery projects and has extensive experience in company strategy formulation with companies such as Baker Hughes, Sumitomo, BG, BP, Dana and Maersk
He started his career at BP upstream, spending 10 years working in the North Sea, Alaska and South East Asia.
Hamish holds a BSc Geology from Edinburgh and an MBA from IMD (Switzerland)
Sarah Milne
Lead Advisor (Commercial & Non-Technical Risk)
Specialises in Strategy; Complex Value Chain Risk Allocation and Commercial Negotiations; Non-Technical Risk.
Sarah is a leading expert in commercial negotiations and the sustainable allocation of risk along complex value chains. She specialises in understanding and allocating risk fairly between stakeholders who generally have no understanding of each others business models but for whom successful decarbonisation is potentially reliant on interdependent projects.
With >5 years experience of CCUS commercial negotiations in a range of global policy environments, Sarah brings an outstanding track record of leading and delivering commercial deals across the energy industry for nearly 25 years. She also brings extensive experience in successfully developing complex projects in highly sensitive communities.
With the first half of her career in a variety of roles at at BP, she has subsequently worked on an independent advisor for a range of clients in Sub-Saharan Africa, L48, EU, Australasia with clients including Total and Tullow. She holds a BSc Hons in Economics & Politics from the University of Bath.
Adam Bott
Lead Advisor (Business Development & Technology)
Adam has spent his career in the Oil and Gas industry primarily working for SLB, a global oil and gas service company that prides itself on development and deployment of cutting-edge technology developed in its various research and engineering centers.
Adam has a long list of international leadership positions, business development, and technology deployment roles. Most recently leading SLB New Energy group CCS business development across Europe looking across the full lifecycle from capture, transport and storage.
Beatriz Ghirardi
Economics & Regulatory Advisor
Beatriz develops and maintains the financial models that support BE’s consulting projects, using advanced Excel techniques to assess commercial viability, cash flows and risk. She also researches policy and regulatory frameworks relevant to CCS, identifying development opportunities and informing the team’s understanding of project feasibility across different jurisdictions. With an academic background in climate science, she brings strong analytical skills and a solid grasp of global decarbonisation trends to her work.
Beatriz holds a BSc in Environmental Engineering from São Paulo State University and an MSc in Atmospheric Science from McGill University..
Angus Montgomery
Subsurface Advisor
Angus brings over three years of direct experience in CCS project development, providing technical leadership on the identification, evaluation, and development of geological CO₂ storage assets. His core expertise lies in integrating basin-scale geological assessment with regulatory, commercial, and societal considerations to support robust decision-making in early-stage storage projects.
In client-facing work, Angus leads the evaluation and ranking of greenfield CO₂ storage regions, enabling clients to prioritise storage opportunities that are technically viable, licensable, and aligned with long-term decarbonisation objectives.
Angus is a lead author of peer-reviewed research on CO₂ storage conducted in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and an active member of GESGB.
